Want to get your Utah Carry Firearms Permit (CFP)?

We can help! As a Utah resident, did you know that Utah is a “shall issue” state. In other words, law-abiding citizens who apply will not be denied a CFP.

Your Utah CFP permit, with certain restrictions, will allow you to carry a loaded, concealed firearm for the protection of yourself or others and is currently honored in 33 other states. (You can find a list of these states and more information about CFPs as well as applications at )

There are USRPA members who are approved by the NRA and the Utah Bureau of Criminal Investigation to certify your application under the current laws; that you are able to load, unload, carry and secure your firearm. They will also be able to guide you through the applicable laws. This certification is required for a Utah CFP.

Another advantage of a CFP is that with a Utah CFP a Utah resident is not required to pay for a background check in order to purchase a firearm.

Here is a list of USRPA members who are Approved CFP Instructors with their general locations and contact information: (If you will contact them by e-mail they can send you information about the procedure for schedules, requirements, cost, etc.)
